shore and shore to ship communications.

How does a user know what is less expensive to send to the
vessel; a Fax, a Telex, an Inamrsat-C email, or internet email. The user does
not have an inventory of vessel equipment; ShipMail does. Based on message size
and available equipment on the vessel ShipMail analyses and accordingly
re-formats the message and send it to the least cost terminal. Attached is a
message size and cost comparisons between different terminals and
services.
Vessel MailBox
Your vessels can have their
internet email addresses vessel@fleet.yourdomain.com.
ShipMail mail boxes can
be accessed via Inamrsat mini-M, B/M, and A terminals via our
network.
MailBox features include:
• Excess headers removal
• Message filtering by
exception.
• Selective message acceptance.
• Spam protection.
• Vessel notification of mail
arrival.
• Competitive access rates.
• Read and analyze message headers before
downloading.
Also, LES competitive rates are available for ship side
access.
Vessel MailBox-C
Using Special Access Code (SAC),
vessels with Inamrsat-C terminals are able to send messages to internet e-mail,
and world-wide Fax and Telex. ShipMail is the only service that provides
services based on 8 bit Cyrillic text to Fax and file transfer from
vessels.
Message Compression
How much can message
compression save you on e-mail? According to benchmark test results, we can show
you savings in the order of 50% on cost of delivery in both directions from and
to vessels. Couple that with low LES ship to shore rates and your email costs
